Avira Antivir Personal - Free
http://www.free-av.com/
http://www.free-av.com/en/download/download_servers.php

How to avoid the daily commercial during updates:
http://www.elitekiller.com/files/dis...ntivir_nag.htm
(I blocked "avnotify.exe" in my firewall, OnlinArmor)

I use NOD32, with Avira Antivir installed as "second opinion" antivirus
scanner.

For a removal program for NOD32:
http://www.nod32.nl/support/faq/default.aspx
click on the fifth question "Hoe deinstalleer/verwijder ik NOD32?"
you can there download the removal program.

start the removal program and restart your computer.
NOD32 should be completely removed.

Have you tried getting help with the installation problem on the ESET
forums?

find the FREE edition impossibly SLOW! To check 1,385,999 files it took
over 3 HOURS!!! And then it does not automatically Delete or put in
Quarantine suspected files. It just stops. Very poor.

Is the paid version just as dumb?

You complained that Victek posted a reply three times.

I believe you have done the same an equal number - possibly more. Pot.
Kettle. Black. Now go have a couple of cups of decaf while your computer
finishes its scan.
