AVG 8.0 detecting Adobe Reader as Trojan horse

I have just upgraded to AVG 8.0 and it is reporting Adobe Reader [AdbeRdr708_en_US.exe] as Trojan horse Generic10.BHES. I am quite sure that there is nothing wrong with Adobe exe file as i had downloaded update to it. Everything was working fine with avg 7 and it never reported Adobe Reader as infection. Any ideas what might be going wrong??

Which version of Adobe Reader you are having? I will suggest you to download the latest one and see if that's changing the case. If not then you can try running online scan or use some other antivirus like malwarebyte to find if there is actually something wrong with Adobe Reader in your case.

I was going through same scenario just a week ago, i had tried uninstalling and reinstalling AVG 8.0 but doing that did not made any difference. It kept reporting Adobe Reader [AdbeRdr708_en_US.exe] as Trojan horse Generic10.BHES. Later i just added it as an exception and now it doesn't report it. I really dont mind putting Adobe Reader as an exception as long as i dont face any issue because of it. I will suggest you to do the same, bets of luck.
