Antec Basiq VP550P 550W is worth buying?

I am looking to build a new computer for gaming and video editing and also I have got a not so high budget. So, what I will be going with is, i5 core processor, an Asus P8 series mobo, Antec cooler fan, 4gb ram, radeon 6xxx series graphic cards, 2 sata hard drives 1tb each and dvd writer. Now the issue that I am having is with the Power Supply. I was wondering if it will be good to go with Antec Basiq VP550P 550W or something else? I have checked Corsair, Thermaltake, etc but they are quite expensive. So does anyone have some review about this antec psu? Thanks

Well, I have found Antec to be one of the good companies in Computer cabinets and also power supply manufacturing. As for the question, yes it is a good psu with 80% efficiency and two 12v rails. It has also got a wattage of 45A which in company standards are very good. I would definitely recommend you to go for this power supply.

It also incorporates energy efficiency systems such as Active PFC and guarantees up to 85% efficiency, which actually reduces the light bills heavily. Antec VP550P power supply comes with cables properly collected, a power cord, a pair of straps to secure the cables, screws to attach it to the box, etc.

Antec VP550P comes with a 12cm fan at the bottom and also has a micro panel that increases cooling in the front area. There is power button and power connector port on the opposite side that can be used to connect cables. These cables are usually round and is just plain ATX cable. This power supply is a medium to high type of PSU which allows us to connect to our high-performance computer components without performance problems. The Antec VP550P is a comprehensive source and ideal for those wanting to get the most out of your equipment, without stressing too much out of it.
