Windows Server 2008 and 2003 GC's + Exchange 2003

We want to replace the core DC's/GC's in our hub. The AD design that we have is a hub and spoke topology where the spokes are all 2003 GC's. We also use Exchange 2003 with the thought to upgrade to 2007 but the first we would like to get our core DC's/GC's up to 2008. Is there anyway Server 2008 GC's/DC's coexist with 2003 gc's in this topology. Can anyone suggest me something. Thanks.
