question about domain trusts and firewall ports

I want to establish a trust between 2 different domains that will be Windows 2003. Also can anyone tell me what ports on the firewall need to be opened to allow for the 2 servers to establish a trust between them and for file sharing across the 2 domains. Thanks for any information in advance.

I think that you will need about 29 ports opened on the client and server side. The below microsoft article will let you know a complete list of what you need opened for full Ad communication to work between DC to DC and DC to client:

What do you mean by Windows 2003 in FF mode?
Do you mean if it is in FF Mode i can just create a forest trust and ignore needing Netbios resolution support?

You can disable NetBIOS over TCP/IPin Windows 2000/XP/2003 you should right-click on My Network Places and select Properties. Then right-click on the appropriate Local Area Connection icon, and select Properties. Next, click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and Properties. Now click Advanced, and select the WINS tab. There you can enable or disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP. The changes take effect immediately without rebooting the system
