Group Policy to remove Address Bar from Internet Explorer 7

We are trying to figure out how to remove the address bar from Internet
explorer 7 using a group policy. I have found how to remove it by changing
the computer's registry but I would like this to be controlled by a group
policy.

What we are trying to do is restrict users from surfing to other website
besides what we have set as the homepage. If anyone knows how to restrict
all websites expect a particular list or the home page using group policies
that would work for us to.

thanks

Brandon

Did you check this one:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

Please indicate where the "remove address bar" setting is in this new ADM
template. I am not seeing it.

Re: Group Policy to remove Address Bar from Internet Explorer 7

Download and install it to any location you like, create a new GPO e.g "IE7
policy" Rightclick Administrative templates in Computer and User configuration,
there you can remove all listed templates (xxx.adm) and add only the template
from the location where you have installed it (inetres.adm). Then you can
check all settings that you can configure for IE7 under computer or user
configuration.

Re: Group Policy to remove Address Bar from Internet Explorer 7

i found a solution. if you setup a group policy to open IE in full screen
mode and disable all menus it will remove the address bar from IE7.

In this solution you loose navigation buttons. I'm looking for a way
to disable the address bar and keep a back and forward button. In my
case its for a kiosk terminal on a local domain. I was hoping for a
group policy

Use STEDY STATE. Download directly from Microsoft.
