| Change mime type and file extensions through gpo's to be opened by a specific viewer in a context of an sap update... Changing "File Types" is possible through Windows explorers GUI or a combination of assoc.exe and ftype.exe... I found no appropriate tool for changing mime types... Even better is an appropriate gpo to handle specific viewers centralized... Thanks for any suggestions... Regards |

| RE: Change mime type and file extensions through gpo's
If you find one can you post it here? I have this issue too. I have a Domain where I need to change the default file types and the assoc.exe and ftype.exe only go so far. Also the ANNOYING thing about Vista is they took away the file types tab and the Default Programs CP doesn't actually modify the registry properly so I would like to use it for Vista too. |

I see it's some times ago... Could this help? The Articel describes how to set the file association within an Active Directory. We also upgrade our SAP CRM system and now have problems with opening files through our document archive solution. |
