Userenv 1030 and 1058 errors every 5 minutes

    Hi Everyone,

I am getting the following two errors every 5 minutes on my two
    Windows 2003 R2 domain controllers:

    Event Type: Error
    Event Source: Userenv
    Event Category: None
    Event ID: 1030
    Date: 3/27/2008
    Time: 10:32:42 AM
    User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
    Computer: COMPUTER
    Description:
Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. Check the
event log for possible messages previously logged by the policy engine
that describes the reason for this.

    User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
    Computer: COMPUTER

The file must be present at the location <\\DOMAIN.COM\sysvol
    \DOMAIN.COM\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\gpt.ini>.

The DCs are in a Windows 2003 R2 domain with 3 other Windows 2000
DCs. The errors seemed to start around the time that I demoted
another Windows 2000 DC. I have searched for hours on this and tried
all of the suggestions such as clearing the MUP cache, resetting the
permissions on the gpt.ini file and it's parent folders, etc.
However, the problem persists. There doesn't seem to be any ill
effects from it, but it's quite annoying. Any help would be greatly
    appreciated.

    Regards,

    Hello dprofancik@gmail.com,

Run dcdiag /v netdiag /v and replmon to check for errors on all DC's. Also
post an unedited ipconfig /all from all DC/DNS servers here.

    Best regards

Did you check if there actually -is- a:

    DOMAIN.COM\sysvol\DOMAIN.COM\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9

Folder on all your DC's. Sometimes simply manyally copying the folder
(or creating is) suffices to stop the error.

Yes, the path is valid, and I can access it.
