| LDAP query
What are the syntax for the command OR in LDAP. I can manage = (the same as) and ! (not as) but I can't find something like OR. I want to search for 2 AD attributes and it's enough if one of them are right (have the right value), but I'm not sure how to do that. If I manage I will use it in an Exchange address view. Can you help me out ? Windows Server 2003 sp2 eng ans Exchange 2003 sp2 eng Sincerely \\Jonas B |

| RE: LDAP query
Jonas it's the pipe, |, character. For example: "(|(cn=*swr*)(cn=*hwr*))" will return objects whose common name includes either of the strings swr or hwr. Hope this helps. Regards Gordon |

| Re: LDAP query
We currently use LDAP Admin Tool for this purpose, you can download the trial version from the following url: http://www.ldapsoft.com/activedirectoryadmintool.html Using this tool is easy just right click the users container and select excel export from the right hand context menu. |
