Fingerprint reader integration with AD?

Is it possible to replace default authentication mechanism for AD domain with
biometric authentication (and this change to aply to all of the member
computers)?

Is it possible? Yes. Not really any different from a smart card system if
you have the hardware. If you're looking for a Microsoft solution, look at
CLM. There are several non-Microsoft systems, e.g. Lenel Systems
International's OnGuard ID Credential Centre.

Is any fingerprint reader supported by the CLM - we use non Microsoft device
... its drivers replace standart logon screen (works with GINA) - so I don't
expect to be 1:1 like smartcard readers ...
