    NTDS Replication error

We are running a Windows Server Standard R2 with a Domain and 2 Domain Controllers. I have set PDC as primary and one additional DC as secondary DNS Server. Now the problem is both PDC and Additional DCs are pointing themselves as Primary DNS and another one as secondary. I think due to this I am getting the Event Error 1083 and Event 1955 in my log:
    Event Type: Warning
    Event Source: NTDS Replication
    Event Category: Replication
    Event ID: 1083
    Date: 1/31/2007
    Time: 2:11:50 PM
    User: NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON
    Computer: GMSI-DC01
    Description:
Active Directory could not update the following object with changes received from the domain controller at the following network address because Active Directory was busy processing information.

    Object:
    CN=Administrator,CN=Users,DC=domain,DC=fam
    Network address:
    f3f9cdd5-fe1b-4c10-ba8e-eee29ee73489._msdcs.domain.fam

This operation will be tried again later.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
And the second is as follows:

    Event Type: Information
    Event Source: NTDS Replication
    Event Category: Replication
    Event ID: 1955
    Date: 1/31/2007
    Time: 2:17:46 PM
    User: NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON
    Computer: GMSI-DC01
    Description:
Active Directory encountered a write conflict when applying replicated changes to the following object.

    Object:
    CN=Administrator,CN=Users,DC=domain,DC=fam
    Time in seconds:
    0

Event log entries preceding this entry will indicate whether or not the update was accepted.
As per me there is no problem with the Active Directory as it is working fine. Also I don’t found anything wrong with Server or the clients. Then where is the problem? Please help.

    Re: NTDS Replication error

Hi Leythos. I was searching some solution regarding your problem on web and found something important in this Microsoft Article. Have a look.
    http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;834926

I hope it will fix your problem. Apart from this i'll suggest you to also check the settings from the NIC again. By the way do you have multiple NIC's installed on your system in use?

    Re: NTDS Replication error

As far as i know about Event ID 1955 it is not an issue in isolation unless and until it turns into Event 1083. If you see multiple errors it doesn't means it is just because of busy server. Anyways, just check this page describing all Event IDs with solution. It may help you lot. http://www.eventid.net/display.asp?e...cation&phase=1

    Let me know the results.
