| SYSVOL not replicating
Hi, I'm running a AD-domain with 3 Win2k-servers. One of my DC's died because of harddrive problems. I replaced the disks with new ones and restored the system from backup. Everything but the SYSVOL replication (what i know of) is working. If i add a new user on the newly restored DC, it will replicate without problems in the AD. I've noticed this problem since i made some changes to a grouppolicy that didn't apply to some users. I can see that the content on two of my DC's are matching, but not on the third (the one that got restored). Netdiag is showing no errors whatsoever on any of the DC's, neither does DCDiag. If i test to create a directory on the DC that is "faulty", it won't replicate to the others. If i do the same on the other two, it replicates to each other, but not to the "faulty" one. There's no logs showing any error on the DC's, i've tried restarting the ntfrs service with no luck. Does anyone know what i can do to solve this problem? Thanks in advance / Martin |

The output is shown below: DC1: SYSVOLShared = Not a junction DC2: SYSVOLShared = Ok DC3: SYSVOLShared = Ok Apparently there's a problem with one of the DC's. What would be the next step to do? Followup: I've installed Ultrasound and done some tests with it. All connections between the 3 DC's are working as it should, but i get one error message on Ultrasound from one of the DC: "SYSVOL does not contain junction point. Please follow http://support.microsoft.com?id=327781" Unfortunately that KB is unavailable. I've tried to manually create the junction point with the program "linkd": "linkd C:\winnt\sysvol\sysvol\my_domain c:\winnt\sysvol\domain" All i get is the following: "Cannot create a link at: C:\winnt\sysvol\sysvol\my_domain" Anyone? Thank you |
