One way replication error between sites

There is some replication error between the 2 servers that we have. It seems to be one way error. Every servers are Windows 2003 SP1 with all current updates installed. There are 4 sites and each one of them has one DC server. The Sites are connected by VPN and there is Cisco router on each end. The settings of the 4 Cisco are the same or mirrored. All the server clocks are within seconds of each other. But viewing REPLMON on Server2 shows errors from Server3 to Server2 where else viewing REPLMON on Server 1, 3 and 4 shows no errors. You can check the below which is a sample from Server2 REPLMON log:

    "USNData","1369307"
    "DateTime","9/12/2005 3:32:48 PM"
"PartnerType",">> Direct Replication Partner Data <<"
    "DirectPartnerUSN","Property Update USN: 592048"
"DirectPartnerFailure","Changes have not been successfully replicated from
    Server3 for 5791 attempt(s)."
"DirectPartnerFailure","The reason is: The remote procedure call failed and
    did not execute."
    "DirectPartnerFailure","The last replication attempt was: 9/12/2005 2:56:23
    PM (local)"

Re: One way replication error between sites

If you think that network connectivity is proper, then it might be a DNS problem. You can point this DC at one of the other DCs for DNS, assuming AD-Integrated DNS here, and then restart Netlogon and then try replicating. If replication is successful, then change DNS back to what it was and try again.

Re: One way replication error between sites

After trying it I am still facing some issue. I used REPLMON and used it to sync. But after a long time I am getting the below error:

    Active Directory Replication Monitor

ERROR_REPLICA_SYNC_FAILED_THE REMOTE PROCEDURE CALL FAILED AND DID NOT EXECUTE.

    Thanks

Can you try to run DCDIAG /V /C /E and NETDIAG /V on the problem machine and post any errors that you are getting.
