Force User Logoff

Is there a way through AD that users can be auto logged off after a set time
frame?

RE: Force User Logoff

Yes, by setting logon times on user account objects and using the following
GPO setting:

\Computer Configuration\ Windows Settings\ Security Settings\ Local
Policies\ Security Options\ Network Security: Force logoff when logon hours
expire

RE: Force User Logoff

I guess I should have included this in the first post. The users do not have
logon hours assigned to them, as they are in and out at all times of the day
and night. My main problem is that users are staying logged on 2 & 3 days at
a time. Is the GPO for "Force logoff when logon hours" only for users that
have logon hours assigned to them?

Thanks,
Rob

Re: Force User Logoff

you could use the winexit screen saver, assign its use from GPO
about the only way i have found to force log users off :)

Re: Force User Logoff

Thanks for the post Steve. I've already found out about the winexit src;
however that doesn' really seem like very smart solution. ie. having to
walk around to every PC on the domain and set up the winexit.src. If you
know of any other way, that I could make a push out of a forced user logoff
throught AD, that would be a lot simplier and less time comsuming.
Thanks again.

Re: Force User Logoff

You can configure the screen saver using GPO ;-)
