Migrate AD , DNS and DHCP from a Virtual Server 2008 to a New Server 2008
i'm looking to Move a Virtual Networking Server 2008 preview to another one Server 2008 Preview. in this first One , the virtual, there's the AD , DNS and DHCP for a small Business .
Please , can you help me to find out the Proper easier way to migrate the Server.
And If it is possible to backup only The Active Directory int he new Sever that i could install it in a sperate Network and re-install DNS and DCHP in the newOS server ( we have two wifi routers ( 2 Lan ; One currently in use , caintening the users and the Server and another not connecting any user, any server where i'm willing to install the New Os server and restor int it The AD DS).
Re: Migrate AD , DNS and DHCP from a Virtual Server 2008 to a New Server 2008
You can use the Windows Server 2008 R2 Migration Tools that are a set of tools available to simplify migration of various roles, features and other server data to a new server running Windows Server 2008 R2. Migration documentation and tools ease the process of migrating server roles, features, operating system settings, and data from an existing server that is running Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008 to a computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2.
