Domain Local Groups are not visible in member of tab

    Hi,

    I have a problem.
We have Domain Local Security groups in xyz.com(Parent) and users are in abc.xyz.com (Child)
Now problem is whenever i go to Active directory users and computer and find users member of tab. Not able to see membership of Domain Local group
    OS: 2003 Server , Fuctional level 2003, SP2.
I have tried as per KB (You cannot view a user's universal group membership in Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Users and Computers when universal groups do not reside in the local domain) 833883 but no help. As its applicable for universal group. Nothing mention for Domain Local groups.

    Please assist.

It happens in your place when you try to edit the GPO. The case normally appears when you are trying install gpo via Active directory user and the computer utility. The configuration settings for the security permission and other policy setup also creates issue. This is why when sometime the Domain local groups fails to appear in the Select Users, Computers, or Groups dialog box. Go to the below link to have a complete detail on the same.
