DHCP permissions

Hi.
I have a number of dhcp servers installed on DCs in various offices. I need
to assign a local admin in one of the remote offices permission to manage
the dhcp server in his site not all dhcp servers. If I add admin to the
default local dhcp administrator group in ADUC I believe he will have access
to all dhcp servers in the domain. I need to assign permissions to just one
dhcp server....

Thanks

Re: DHCP permissions

I am not aware of anyway to grant a user admin control over just one dhcp
server.

Re: DHCP permissions

Hello southpaw,

When using a DC as DHCP server i don't know. Installing the DHCP server on
a member server and making that person local administrator of that server
can be a solution.

Best regards

Re: DHCP permissions

Hi
If the DHCP servers are in Domain Controllers, NO.

If DHCP are in member servers, then you you have other options like creating
a dedicated group or add them directly to the proper security group that
will allow that person to manage the DHCP server.

Re: DHCP permissions

Hi
There is an old article that explains a similar problem
The DHCP scope settings periodically disappear on a Windows Server
2003-based computer
