2003 Server, Application Directory Partition question when demotin

Hi, I'm trying to demote a domain controller in a 2003-domain, there are two
more domain controllers. A question comes up about an application directory
partition för TAPI. I've tried to follow instructions for moving it to
another DC but nothing happens (tapicfg). The schema is updated to R2. The
default DC for this partition is a 2003 server, te other two are one 2003 and
one 2003R2. Anyone who knows how to move or if it's unnecessary, is it ok to
delete it?

This sounds very application specific. I would contact your VAR for this
and trial it in a lab before doing in production.

Re: 2003 Server, Application Directory Partition question when demotin

Hello Stefan,

The TAPI3partition is used for IP and other telephony serviecs, so if you
don't use anymore some application with telephony in the domain you should
be able to remove it according to:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...27(WS.10).aspx

See also:
