MS DOS 6.20 & Windows 98

I still use a floppy diskette drive and MS DOS 6.20. Until recently.
I was still using Windows 98. My computer started shutting down, for
no apparent reason. I decided it was the power supply, and I replaced
it. Since then, I have only been able to start it when using my boot
disk. How do I get my hard drives & Windows running again? I don't
think the problem is my motherboard, because the internal clock has
been working.

Wrong NewsGroup. This is for questions relating to Active Directory.

I have no idea how closely this is monitored but here is where I would
start:

I would rename the c:\msdos.sys and c:\io.sys and copy those files from the
Win98 CD to C: drive, then try to boot.

If that doesn't help, something else may be corrupted. You can always run a
Win98 inplace upgrade with the 98 CD, which will keep your current settings
but fix boot and other issues.

Otherwise, I would recommend following Paul's suggestions.
