| Adding SBS 2008 DC to existing 2003 Domain (SBS)
Hi all I've been desperatly trying to resolve an error i've been recieving when running DCPROMO on my new MS SBS 2008 domain controller. What i'm trying to do is join a new 2008(SBS) DC to an existing domain. Time after time i recieve the error: "The replication operation failed to allocate memory". I would be super apprechiative if you could help me resolve this issue! |

I don't think you can add an SBS 2008 to an existing AD... There is not a possibility to create a trust between those 2 domains... You have to "migrate" the SBS 2008 server into the domain. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en This is not a trivial task and has to be well planned out. SBS is not simply domain controller. If you try to install it without using the wizards you are in for a world of hurt down the road. -- Kerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience: Systems Administration http://www.vistahelp.ca/phpBB2/ "L2wi5" <L2wi5@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:608ABFEC-F475-4038-9E50-8F88AFE4867E@microsoft.com... > Hi all I've been desperatly trying to resolve an error i've been recieving > when running DCPROMO on my new MS SBS 2008 domain controller. > > What i'm trying to do is join a new 2008(SBS) DC to an existing domain. > Time > after time i recieve the error: "The replication operation failed to > allocate > memory". > > I would be super apprechiative if you could help me resolve this issue! |
