Can I install Replication Monitor on server 2008 R2 ?

If yes how do I install it as I want a GUI so that I can monitor replication traffic

Hello aconti,

You can install the 2003 support tools on 2008 R2, ignore the compatibility
warning during install. Keep in mind that some tools are not working on the
2008 OS version. But replmon will run , use it on my 2008 R2 without any
problem.

ReplMon doesn't need to run on a dc and I would discourage this. Put it on
a workstation and avoid putting anything on the dc. Will it damage anything
if you place it on your dc no, but that means you are logging onto the
machine and then you run the risk of accidentally doing something you didn't
want to.

I tried from here but replmon.exe is not launching after doing double click....

Did you run it on XP, 2003 or 2008? If 2008 try again on a lower level o/s.
