| syatem state restoring error
our dc crashes and not going to safe mode ,safe mode with command prompt, (server 2003 standard r2 sp2) after i installed os freshly and activated . then restored system state backup after restart I get the login prompt after login then a windows product activation window "This copy of windows must be activated with Micorsoft before you can continue. You cannot log on until you activate Windows. Do you want to activate Windows now?" "To shut down the computer, click Cancel" "Yes" No" or "Cancel" When I click on yes, It says saving settings and goes back to the login prompt. no activation menu is coming No and cancel do the same. and not going to safemode or any other mode |

This happens aftrer a repair and IE 7 installed on the server please see the below to resolve the issue Start the computer in safe mode. To do this, follow these steps: Restart the computer. When you see the Please select the operating system to start message, press F8. Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode, and then press ENTER. Log on by using an account that has administrative credentials. Click Start, click Run, type %systemdrive%\Windows\IE7\spuninst \spuninst.exe, and then click OK. The Windows Internet Explorer 7 Removal Wizard starts. Click Next, and then click Finish. Restart the computer, and then log on again by using an account that has administrative credentials. When you are prompted to activate Windows, click Yes. The Windows Product Activation Wizard starts. |
