Password Expiry

Hi Everyone,
We have over two hundred users who never log into our domain using a PC but
have a mobile phone which they use to get emails from off our Exchange 2007
server so have a user account in our AD.

Our domain is set to expire passwords every 60 days (users must change their
password every 60 days).

The problem is the mobile phone users don't know when their passwords expire
until their phone stops getting emails, then the call IT Support for a
password reset as they have no facility to change their password themselves.
How do others get round this issue? I could set their passwords to never
expire but feel this is a bit of a security weakness so I am reluctant to go
down this route.

What other options do I have to stop the users calling IT support to get
their passwords reset?

Regards
John

Re: Password Expiry

Hi Meinolf,
Thanks for the link. I will give it a try. I still have the problem of how
do I get the users to change their password once they revieve notification
their password is about to expire?

Users never log into the network using an AD attached PC?

Regards
John

Re: Password Expiry

Hello John,

You can use a Terminal server where they logon to change it or the use a
VPN connection on there machines to connect to your domain.
