discretionary access control list vs System Access Control List

Hello what is the meaning and difference between these two. The security of a file is called Security Access Control list so why these 2 different names ?

Hi Aconti,

Basically:
A discretionary access control list (DACL) identifies the trustees that are
allowed or denied access to a securable object.
A system access control list (SACL) enables administrators to log attempts
to access a secured object.

Basically sacl's is for auditing and acl's is for access control.
