netlogon and sysvol shares missing

I am using one DC/GC running on Windows 2003 SP2 server and recently netlogon and sysvol shares are missing. The users are not able to logon on their computers. I tried rebooting the server and successfully logged on with domain administrator credentials. I should tell you that on the same server Exchange 2003 is also installed. I dont know what to do, can anyone please help. Thanks

Have you got any backup that you can restore the missing files from or otherwise you will have to rebuild with the base install defaults. Check the below links for instance:

Thanks for the reply, as seen in the article and regarding the infrastructure topology on one server only, the issue looks to be solved by updating the regkey BurFlags from 0 to D2. The sysvol share appears and the logon works on the stations but I am now trying for the missing netlogon share. Help.

If you have only one DC in the domain and never had another one before then you can add a second DC/DNS/GC to the domain for failover and redundancy reason quickly. Or else you can create manually scripts folder and then verify if the sysvolready key into HKLM\...\Netlogon\parameters. After that netstop/start Netlogon and then verify with net share.
