Re: Move computer to a different OU

Hello aconti,

You can move a machine as often as you like. Keep in mind, that GPOs assigned
to the OU will be replaced and that software installations will be removed/reapplied
according to your configuration.

After moving give some time for replication to all DCs.

Best regards

Re: Move computer to a different OU

Not sure what the message "ou can't be found" but moving a computer to a new
ou has no impact on the machine itself. GPO's for the machines are
associated with the ou's they are contained with and its parent ou's. So
look at the ou hirarchy and verify that the computer is in the correct
hiarchy for the gpo and if you believe it is use the Group Policy Management
Console (GPMC) as well as the Resultatnt Set of Policy (RSOP) to debug.

Re: Move computer to a different OU

you move it as much as you want, but allow the computer to find out WHERE it
is..

use GPRESULT to see if it already knows its new location
