Can Win2008 ADAM replicate with ADAM v1.0 instance on W2K3?

We have an existing ADAM installation consisting of 4 instances of Win2003
w/ADAM v1.0 replicating. We need to add some new ADAM instances for
performance and failover purposes so I'd like to put Win2008 on the new
hardware and setup them up with "AD LDS" (formerly ADAM) instances that
replicate with our existing ADAM v1.0 instances on w2k3. Is this supported?
Does it work?

Yes, it should work fine assuming that the other basic requirements can be
met (having a way for the instances to authenticate via domain membership or
whatever, network connectivity).
