| General access denied error
I am updating the AD user details in my application using a generic login. The problem is it fails for few user detail update saying "General access denied error" at System.DirectoryServices.Interop.UnsafeNativeMethods.IAds.SetInfo() exception, but the users permission level is similar to other user. Can any one help me out in the problem? What right i have to give for my generic account to allow it to edit all the AD user? (other than adding it in admin group) |

| Re: General access denied error
In our era, there are some "service accounts" to update the permissions of the account. They should not have administrator permissions Enterprise. These accounts are further blocked by: Cannot change password. The user can not access the devices. Those developers are given the credentials of the service account for the handling of AD. I hope this will help you solve your problem. If you are still confused about this after searching the internet I'm sure you'll get an appropriate solution. Thanks. |
