Default Group Membership

Team,

We have ~60 Accounts in Backup Operators and ~45 in Network Confugartion Operators. Before i remove these accounts want to know if these accounts are safe to be removed from the said group??

What are the groups meant for and can such a function be delegated?? think it should be possible

Re: Default Group Membership

Kerry,
to determine specific privileges associated with these groups, refer to
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...98(WS.10).aspx
Removing users from these groups will likely result in the loss of the
associated privileges - so you should start by determining whether there is
a valid reason to do so. On the other hand, having 60 Backup operators seem
to be rather excessive...

Re: Default Group Membership

Hello Kerry,

As Marcin said, they will loose some privileges and thats all. So if they
are not have the task for backup or network configuration in your domain
you can safely remove them.
