    DHCP server not working

    DHCP server shows with a red cross and in the details it says;

    Cannot find DHCP server

    The dhcp server you specified cannot be located. The dhcp server might be down, there might be network problems, or the dhcp service might not be installed.

    The error was: The dhcp server is not running on the target computer.

    I tried to remove the DHCP role and re-install it and also stop and start the dhcp server service buth both in vain.

    Can someone suggest what I can try pls ?

    Re: DHCP server not working

    In order to make DHCP server work with your Active Directory it should be authorized in AD? Is it authorized? If not it will not start no matter whatever you do. Also if it is authorized, make sure that the DHCP Server Service is started.

    If it is Authorized and Server is started and still you are facing this problem then just check the event log if there is any error listed. If you find some error, just post them here.

    Yes, that is absolutely correct. It should be authorized and DHCP server service should be started. Also set it to automatic to make it work fine.
