Movetree User, local profile issue Windows cannot log you on because your profile cannot be loaded...

Hello,

Ran movetree to move a user from a child domain to a parent domain. The
account moved successfully. Now when the user tried to log on to their
laptop to the new domain, they get a profile error, Windows cannot log you
on because your profile cannot be loaded.

Did I do something wrong....

I just need to move a user once in a while.

Any insight..

Thank you

Gene

Movetree is something I've always heard some scary stuff about.
Got roaming profiles?
I'd probably purge & redo the profile if this isn't a lot of users.

Curious, are you going to create any more threads? It;s usually beneficial
to keep your topic to one thread to allow us to collaborate to help in the
one thread.

So you used the movetree feature. As Lanwench said, sounds like you have
roaming profiles. Or you didn't allow the new user account to use the old
profile. I explained that in the other thread.

Yeah, I would agree user asked questions I provided answers and then they
started up a new thread. Not a good thing to do.

Yep, I'm getting confused on which thread to follow. If I'm getting
confused, I can imagine what the poster is going through. And we're here to
help lessen the confusion!

Hey,

Sorry about the multi-posting. Lesson learned....Have not used these groups
that often, so was not sure how it looked on the recipient end.

Thanks for your help and to all that multi-responded to my multi-postings...
