| Migrating Unix accounts into Active Directory I am working as a student system administrator for my university. Currently, we have all the students accounts on a Unix machine and we use a custom build service to provide centralized authentication via this server. We want to move all these accounts to Active Directory to provide a proper centralized authentication infrastructure. Since we have too many users, so resetting everyone's password is not feasible here. Therefore, we need to migrate these user accounts along with their current unix passwords into Active Directory. Is there a way to do so? |

Hi Neither of the above links talk about migrating the existing passwords. They only give information about creating new unix accounts and configuring Linux to authenticate and authorize using new accounts.
