Different Domains in the Same Subnet

How to configure different domains on a single subnet. I had seen a number of people doing the same. But I am not sure about the process. I want to put two domains under a single subnet and check out how it works well. Also I am looking for advantage and disadvantage of doing the same. I hope this is secure enough and also easy to manage. Because if this is good then I will move my main production domain on a common subnet.

It basically depends on your setup and requirement. You can do that if there is trust between the domains and users which are working on it. Then you can simply put the same no same subnet. It is a good solution if you are not having enough ip address for the setup. To avoid conflicts among the domains ensure that you does not have a dhcp server separately. Because this will create multiple dns that can generate problem.
