Enterprise CA Deployment- need advise

Hi Group:
We have 12 child domains and one forest root on a WAN environment.
AD is based on Windows 2003 functional level.

We have a requirement to deploy enterise CA to facilitate certificate
distribution to clients; incorporate to an IAS.

Can you pls provide me some suggestions on whihc model/ architecture we can
adopt; best practices and further reading.
