Guys,
We're running Windows 2003 SP1. On several of our Domain Controllers we are
seeing Event ID 22
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: W32Time
Event Category: None
Event ID: 22
Date: 11/03/2009
Time: 11:19:41 AM
User: N/A
Computer: DC01
Description:
The time provider NtpServer encountered an error while digitally signing the
NTP response for peer 192.168.1.xxx:123. NtpServer cannot provide secure
(signed) time to the client and will ignore the request. The error was: The
specified user does not exist. (0x80070525)
The problem appears to be coming from both XP workstations and other Dmain
Controllers when they are attempting to sync their time.
If I check the event log on the source computer (either DC or XP) it tells
me that it has successfully synced its time.
As with all time sync errors I'm concerned as I have no idea why this is
happening.
Can anyone offer some advice?
