| roaming profiles and pop3 emails
i have created roaming profiles for our users, but the C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\ directories do not copy over while the office is relatively small (30 users) it would make it much easier for our users. is there anything special that has to be done other than give the person full permissions to their profile directory? everything else works fine except for this. thank you in advance |

Put the PST files on another location (i.e, a mapped drive). This is what we were doing around 2 years ago. Thanks. Andrew. |

That's entirely unsupported and generally leads to performance problems and frequently even data corruption. Don't do it. To be blunt: POP mail is not suitable for a corporate environment. If you can't get Exchange on premises, look into hosted Exchange. "No POP, no PST." |
