AD 2008 TCP/IP Port Range

We're moving from W2K3 AD to Windows Server 2008 DS. KB 929851 indicates the
default dynamic port range for TCP/IP has changed in Windows Server 2008.

There will be no change in how we set up the START port for out static RPC
port assignment, i.e. START = "60100", but I question what our range should
be. Our current range of "100" is insufficient, because the KB article
stated the minimum has to be at least 250, and the examples show a range of
1000.

Can anyone shed some light on what a good range would be? Our AD
environment is not large, 4 000 users in 3 hub sites, and 10 branch offices.
Hub sites are 800-1000 users, and branch offices are 50-100 users. It’s a
typical Exchange 2003, XP SP2 client environment. The range of 100 in W2K3
served us well.
