Sysvol gpo name

does the unique ID for a GPO ever change?
example: \\domain.com\sysvol\domain.com\policies\{V9C5G07A-14B0-5GET-
B99F-189531F5GG}

No, every GPO has it's own GUID.

like any other object in AD, the objectGUID never changes unless you
recreate the object. But then it is another object, although it has the same
name
