Domain DFS Root Failure - Help please

There is one site with us which is no longer able to access the Domain DFS Root that we use to install packages from. If we are trying to access the DFS root then I am getting the error "Configuration information could not be read from the domain controller, either because the machine is unavailable, or access has been denied." It is only happening from the one site and all others seems to be ok. After that server at the effected site hosts a copy of the DFS root? Can anyone tell me how to solve this?

Could you please tell us which operating system you are using and whether the server is with error domain controller? Have you tried to change something in the configuration or software or updated the system? Also, whether the serveris restored from a backup/image before the error occurs?

Before coming to some conclusion that something is wrong you can try to check MMC console is opening the proper and available server or not, you must be able to right click and select a different target. Also, you can check at the below link for tools and steps:

I was thinking that you might be getting that error when trying to open the DFS console MMC?
