    Where to place login script

Hey guys. I have a very short query. I have successfully created a vbs printer script but I don’t know where exactly I need to put it in Sysvol. I want to do this so that my users should get the script when logging in.

Please let me know the Sysvol location where I need to put vbs printer script.

    Thank you.

Hi Jame, you will need to apply the script you created using GPO linked to the domain using Group Policy Object Editor invoked from Group Policy Management Console (User Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Scripts (Logon/Logoff). Once you will do this, the location will be automatically determined.

By the way, the parent folder of User\Scripts\Logon subfoder where the script
resides is derived from the GUID of the GPO...

Re: Where to place login script

You can surely use the GPO, but that is not the only option, you've the "by default" C:\Windows\SYSVOL\domain\scripts witch is the netlogon share for
    \\domain.com\netlogon.

Your users will this folder automatically for the user attribute "Logon script" under user properties in AD.
