| Re: Group policy drive mapping "program wont run"
It is not entirely clear to me what exactly is failing - the error message is generated by (based on the first screenshot) some sort of in-house app - but the following screenshots seem to indicate that a drive mapping to the share hosting app files does exist. Is this correct? In any case, in order to maintain secure resource access in a workgroup environment you would need to maintain duplicate accounts between the server (where the file share resides) and a workstation from which you run your app (note that this implies that the password for both has to match as well). That account needs to have required permissions to file share and its content. To troubleshoot, you turn on auditing on the file system object access and attempt running the program again.. hth Marcin "adspie" <adspie.3hio3b@DoNotSpam.com> wrote in message news:adspie.3hio3b@DoNotSpam.com... > > i have this problem at work i try to map drive the path of the program > that everyone use in reception but in one department in hospital XRAY > dept has a problem accessing this program record in server 2003 drive.. > i try to put shorcuts from the workstation still got the same problem > over & over still won't work..but other department like MRI ive already > fix this one xray dept i hav eno luck to change it.. the hospital used > workgroup instead domain, can anyone here help me how to fix it? any > thoughts would b much appreciated..thanks in advance > > '[image: http://img373.imageshack.us/img373/273/acihmr1hr9.th.jpg]' > (http://img373.imageshack.us/my.php?image=acihmr1hr9.jpg) > > '[image: http://img252.imageshack.us/img252/9230/acihmr2dt9.th.jpg]' > (http://img252.imageshack.us/my.php?image=acihmr2dt9.jpg) > > > '[image: http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/8033/acihmr3yw7.th.jpg]' > (http://img337.imageshack.us/my.php?image=acihmr3yw7.jpg) > > '[image: http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/3460/acihmr4ub4.th.jpg]' > (http://img408.imageshack.us/my.php?image=acihmr4ub4.jpg) > > '[image: http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/7689/acihmr5db4.th.jpg]' > (http://img511.imageshack.us/my.php?image=acihmr5db4.jpg) > > > -- > adspie > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > adspie's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/adspie.htm > View this thread: Group policy drive mapping "program wont run" > > http://forums.techarena.in > |

If I may also suggest, simo\ply join the machine, as long as it's not a XP Home or Vista Home versions, to the domain and it should work without a problem. -- Ace This posting is a personal opinion based on experience, and is provided "AS-IS" with no warranties or guarantees and confers no rights.
