Group policy drive mapping "program wont run"

i have this problem at work i try to map drive the path of the program that everyone use in reception but in one department in hospital XRAY dept has a problem accessing this program record in server 2003 drive.. i try to put shorcuts from the workstation still got the same problem over & over still won't work..but other department like MRI ive already fix this one xray dept i hav eno luck to change it.. the hospital used workgroup instead domain, can anyone here help me how to fix it? any thoughts would b much appreciated..thanks in advance

It is not entirely clear to me what exactly is failing - the error message
is generated by (based on the first screenshot) some sort of in-house app -
but the following screenshots seem to indicate that a drive mapping to the
share hosting app files does exist. Is this correct?
In any case, in order to maintain secure resource access in a workgroup
environment you would need to maintain duplicate accounts between the server
(where the file share resides) and a workstation from which you run your app
(note that this implies that the password for both has to match as well).
That account needs to have required permissions to file share and its
content.
To troubleshoot, you turn on auditing on the file system object access and
attempt running the program again..

I agree. If I may also suggest, simo\ply join the machine, as long as it's
not a XP Home or Vista Home versions, to the domain and it should work
without a problem.
