    w32tm /resync /rediscover yields Access is denied

In my network I a having a forest setup with 1 parent and child domain. I had configured the time server using KB816042 Article. And then make necessary changes in windows registry on parent and child domain. Now wen I try to run : w32tm /resync /rediscover command I am getting access denied error. I am the admin and I think I am having full access for the connectivity management. But still this thing does not looks to be working well.

I do not think you are following the right track of configuring time server on your domains. You will need to find a more precise way that really works and does not pop out such kind of errors. Check the link below. It will give you a more general idea about what you are doing.

How to configure the Windows Time service against a large time offset

    Hey strcdply and forum readers,

OK so this thread is a bit inactive, but anyway still findable for this issue. Anyways, the kb article might be helpful in the specific context strcdply outlines but more generally useful probably is the tip to right click on the command prompt - run as administrator.

    Cheers

Make sure you open cmd prompt with admin priviledges. Right click on cmd propt ad select run as administrator
