    Enable share folder in Active directory

    Hello,

    How is user able to make a shared folder in active directory?
    When I try to create shared folder I dont have a "tab" sharing in folder properites?

    How to enable this?

    I would have helped you with this but the info provided is not enough to understand what exactly you are asking or to answer the solution. So do you exactly mean the local machine form the user? On which operating system are you working?

    Until you reply let me tell you that a normal user will be only available to read in AD.

    thanks for you reply.

    "Do you mean the local machine form the user? " - Yes I mean that domain user/s is/are not able to create a shared folder on workstations (XP)

    "What OS are you using?" - Server is Win2003/Workstations are Xp.

    OK, now its sufficient to answer you BrunoK. In order to share drives, files or folders, you must be logged on computer as a member of any one of these groups:Administrators, Server Operators, Power Users.

    Microsoft is already well aware of this problem. Hence they have provided a knowledge base article describing "How To Share Files and Folders over the Network in a Windows Server 2003 Domain Environment", I', sure it will help you with your issue.
