Migrating Windows Nt4 Domain to Windows 2008 Domain

Hello Microsoft, I need a bit help.

We are running a Windows 2008 Domain. Due to some reason I need to migrate a Windows NT 4 domain to the said server. I gave it a try using ADMT toll but doesn’t helped us.

So I wanted to if it is really possible to migrate NT 4 domain to 2008 server? If yes, please provide me some way. Thank you.

Why the ADMT tool is not working, what problem you facing with the same? Any error?

You can complete the migration using ADMT tool itself. Just remember to first use Active Directory Connector (ADC) so that the NT Domain can interact with the AD Domain. If you do this then ADMT will run fine over the top of that.

I think you will first need to upgrade your NT 4.0 domain to at least Windows 2000. And then use ADMT 3.1

That sounds better. I think the Active Directory Connector was actually for Exchange 5.5 when it was also part of the NT Domain.
