| Roaming Profiles Windows Server 2008
I have four terminal servers, two running server 2003 and two running server 2008. My roaming profiles work when I log onto the servers running 2003, however, they are not being carried over when I log onto server 2008. To confuse the situation even more, my two servers running 2003 have Citrix installed. While the other two we use RDP instead of Citrix. Our goal is to elimiate Citrix all together, however, we need to continue using the two server running 2003 until we can replace those. Does anyone have and information they can offer? |

You might be best off posting in m.p.windows.terminal_services, but note that sharing roaming or TS profiles between OS versions always causes problems in my experience, and is best avoided. |

Hello teenzbutler, In earlier 2008 OS you have so called version 1 profiles and Vista AND 2008 use V2 profiles, that will cause your problems. See here more details: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947025 http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...-2a69a73871a5/ Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. ** Please do NOT email, only reply to Newsgroups ** HELP us help YOU!!! http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm > I have four terminal servers, two running server 2003 and two running > server 2008.
