My Docs redirection enables Offline Files which stops network acce

Once enabling the redirection of users desktops and my documents, offline files sync has turned itself on. I dont want users to have 2 sets of their documents, so I did everything I can to disable it, but nothing seems to be working. The users get a pop up on boot/login telling them that a synchronization is being performed. The thing which is very annoying is that the network is not available until they perform the sync. Not only I want to synce, but the network being down, for upto some time for some users is a hectic problem. So can anyone tell me how to bypass this or get rid of it? Thanks

Even I am having same issue, I think that "Don not automatically enable offline files" will only be applied the first time a user is logging on to a computer, so those who have already logged on might already have the offline files enabled and you may need to disbale them by going to tools > folder options > offline files tab.
